Leadership
The Year 10 students on the Sports Leaders Level One course have been preparing tournaments to be run in their core PE lessons in the summer term. They have also been helping with a variety of events being held at Loreto, including the Year 5 and 6 Sportshall Athletics, Year one Games Evening, Year 2 Cross Country Half Mile and the Year 6 Cross Country Mile.

Badminton Club
We have been running a badminton club for Year 10 and 11 students. This has been run by Ellie Baker and Aideen Lamar who attended a Leadership conference and training session earlier in the year. Basketball and Table Tennis will follow next term.

St. Peter's and
Year 1 Games Evening at Loreto
This was the second time running this event with sixteen students from each school taking part in a number of relay races. They were asked to do a variety of different activities including using the indoor ladders, jumping over hurdles, going through tunnels and using the huge gym balls as targets! There was some confusion on occasion but all the pupils enjoyed the experience.
Year 2 Cross Country Half mile at Loreto
This event was incredibly successful this year with lots of participants and supporters. The weather was perfect for cross country running and the students who took part had a wonderful experience. Katie Holder from Maple School was the winner of the girls' race with Amelie Newman-Booth from St. Peter's coming a close second followed by Milly Mason, also from St. Peter's.

Year 6 Cross Country Mile at Loreto
This event was organised for the following week and again the weather proved perfect for cross country running. The students from Maple and
Susie Williams from Maple finished in first place in the girls' race followed by Chloe Nichol and Charlie Dowsell also from Maple.
The top three boys in descending order were Kyle Harris followed by Billy Laurence and Robert Errington, all from
Overall, the teams from St. Albans and St. Stephens won with the teams from Maple coming a close second.
Well done to all those students who took part and thank you to all those parents and teacher who supported the event. Thank you also must go to the three 'Hares' who helped to set the pace at these events: Hannah Hull (Year 10), Isobel Taylor (Year 9) and Laura Edwards (Year 7).
