Year 4 Speed Stacking Competition
The
Speed Stacking Club
The club is aimed at Year 7 and 8 students who do not regularly attend extra curricular activities; they benefit from the social and physical opportunities the club provides. We have recruited new leaders to the project this year as our 'expert leader' has moved onto university to train as a PE teacher. Due the success of the Friday Club we are planning to introduce Speed Stacks on a Tuesday lunch time too
Street Dance
Nine girls have worked very hard with a specialist coach to perform a piece in the show which had the theme 'Movies and Musicals'. The club is run once a week and we are planning to continue into the summer term.
Gifted and Talented
We ran our Gifted and Talented Multi Sports Club for Year 6 and 7, during the spring term. Students came from Colney Heath Primary, Skyswood Primary, Oakwood Primary and Beaumont . The sessions covered different aspects of sport from leadership to game play. Each week, Playground to Podium

Cheerleading
Over the Spring Term we secured funding to set up a Cheerleading Club. The sessions ran as part of our Alternative Sports Club. Saracens have been delivering the cheerleading course which was aimed at Year 7 and 8 and they have had a wonderful experience. The sessions finished with the girls having the opportunity to enter a Cheerleading Competition.
Young Sporting Ambassador Assemblies
We are carrying out a programme of assemblies in our Primary schools, linked to the theme of the Olympic values, with a Mini-Olympic session delivered to a chosen class at the end of the assembly. The Silver and Bronze Ambassadors planned and delivered the sessions. The first one took place at

The Wii Fit Club is being run at
TOP Link Conference
I took three students to the TOP Link Conference. This was a fantastic opportunity for the young leaders to develop their leadership skills. The students were Lauren Bolger, Joel Trounce and Kirsten Bell. Unfortunately Rosie Goymer was unwell and was unable to attend. The conferences are special because they are led by Higher Education Students, supported by some of the country's well known sports stars. At our event we had Tom Davies a national Judo player who gave an excellent speech and supported the students throughout the day.
