G&T Athletics Day, 14th March

In remarkably pleasant weather for March, 35 pupils from 13 of the Partnership schools had the excellent opportunity of being coached in 6 athletic disciplines by a team of experienced coaches from Herts Phoenix Athletics Club. Whilst these youngsters already show an exceptional talent in various sports ranging from swimming to rugby, many were trying hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot and discus for the first time and all were delighted to receive sprint training on a 'proper' track. The Phoenix coaches were impressed with the standard of the group and hope that they will continue to develop their new-found skills.
