Speed Stacking   Margaret Wix hosted our cluster Speed Stacking festival with pupils from Abbey School not only winning but also showing their excellent leadership skills by coaching and assisting other teams. They then went on to represent our Partnership in the County finals with the girls achieving a fantastic 2nd place in the 3-3-3 event and the boys' best result was 3rd in the 3-6-3. Well done to all who took part.       Competitions The Abbey CE Primary School recently ran some fantastic intra-school competitions. Organised by PLT Dawn Charles with assistance from the two Bronze Ambassadors Orla and James, all students took part in competitive games against each other. The event ran over three days and was a great success - even the rain didn't dampen their spirits!   Leadership   Sport leaders have been putting their training into action by running a table tennis club for students. Sam, Mitchell and Matt attended the Livewire training and have been running competitions and a ladder during the twice a week club.   Leadership Four sports leaders from Townsend attended the recent TOP link conference at the University of Herts Sports Village. They took part in sporting activities and they are now looking forward to planning their TOP link festival in the summer term.   Dance Townsend students have had dance tuition from Faye at Apex Multisports. They have been lucky enough to experience a six week Livewire street dance project where they have been working hard on a performance piece for our forthcoming gym & dance extravaganza.       Big Lottery Girls in KS4 at Townsend have been working on improving their strength and fitness by taking part in project funded through the Big Lottery. They have been trying a range of fitness activities including aerobics, yoga and pilates.
