ISSUE 17 END OF SPRING TERM.

Those schools that were awarded either Activemark or Sportsmark should now have received their certificates, if for any reason your school has not please contact Jayne Jarvis.
Sports Academies
The SSP has now set up 4 academies; Netball, Girls Football, Canoe and athletics, thank you to all those schools who have sent pupils, however, we still need to encourage more schools to send pupils. We are hoping to run these academies plus more next year so watch this space. If anyone has any comments please feedback to your SSCo's.

BIG Lottery
Just a reminder for your allocations with regards to the BIG Lottery Projects:
Primary Schools
8 weeks dance
8 weeks tri golf
8 weeks yoga bugs
8 weeks speed stacks
Secondary Schools
8 weeks dance
8 weeks extreme golf
Please remember to complete all monitoring forms this is a requirement of the funding. All pupils that attend 8 weeks of any BIG lottery projects will receive a t-shirt, please speak to your instructor or SSCo to arrange delivery of shirts for your pupils.
If you have not arranged delivery of these clubs please speak to your SSCo to arrange the setting up of these sessions. We are now in the position to be able to provide instructors for all of these clubs.
We still have 3 more projects to set up; Team Challenge and Row/Dance Challenge (secondary schools) and Mini Gym (Primary Schools) - this information will follow after Easter.
Coaching Funding Update
Please remember is you have had any additional funding for coaching for school teams etc, we require details of numbers etc, your SSCo will contact you for this information. Please remember that if you require additional support with training/coaching any of your school teams please speak to your SSCo to see if the SSP would be able to support your school.
Livewire Projects
A funding application has been submitted and the SSP is a waiting to see if the projects bid for will be successful.
HYG's
A BIG thank you to all those schools who have sent pupils for the Herts youth Games Trials, this year the SSP is assisting with the following teams; Basketball, Sportshall athletics, Aquathlon, Netball, Hockey and Tag Rugby.
2009/2010
The SSP is starting to plan for 2009/2010. If anyone has any comments or any areas schools would particularly like to see developed please could this be discussed with their SSCo or Jayne Jarvis.
CONTRACT
Many schools have asked for a contract/service level agreement with regards to coaches employed or arranged by the A10 SSP. This has now been put together and will be sent to all
KS1 Multi Skills
If you have organised this within school and have now completed the first round please can you send them into Holly ASAP. If you require any help with this project or require further information please contact Holly.
Saracens EDF Project
The following schools have been chosen to take part in the Saracens EDF Tag rugby Project and will have a 5 week programme of delivery within their school including a teacher inset:
